The 2nd Annual Progress Report Meeting

At IER, we will report the results of our research activities, conducted in the whole of the institute, to the public once a year.
We held a Progress Report Meeting for the public for the first time at the multiple purposes hall in Corasse Fukushima on March 7th 2016. The number of participants was 204, every seat was filled throughout the presentations, including people standing to listen and watch the presentations. We found that many people are very interested in “radioactivity” and want to hear about what we are studying at IER. After the meeting we dedicated time to listen to the opinions from the public and answer their questions. It was a good opportunity to exchange perspectives, and IER researchers were able to hear directly the concerns of the public.
