Symposium with Kyiv-Mohyla Academy
On July 4, 2025, IER, in collaboration with researchers from the Faculty of Administration and Social Science at Fukushima University, hosted a symposium with the participation of researchers and doctoral students from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NUKMA*1, Ukraine), along with experts from two supporting NGOs: Project Expedite Justice (PEJ*2, USA) and Truth Hounds (TH*3, Ukraine). The symposium focused on shared challenges and issues across the humanities, social sciences, law, and environmental science. Participants engaged in lively discussions on different approaches within each field, with a view toward future cooperation and joint projects. *1 NUKMA – National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy: The oldest university in Ukraine, focusing on literature, social sciences, law, economics, and political science. Since Russia’s invasion in 2022, it has conducted research on war and its impact on society.
